How to download Threads videos and photos

1. Copy the link to a public post

Open the post in Threads and choose Share → Copy link. Madboy supports post and /share/ links on both threads.com and threads.net. A profile URL is not a post link.

2. Paste the link and preview the media

Paste the link on the Madboy home page and select Download. The results show only the post’s photos and videos, in their original order. Select a preview to open the viewer. Use the arrows, keyboard arrow keys or a swipe on your phone to move between files.

Videos start playing without sound as they load. Turn on sound in the player if the source video includes audio. A preview does not automatically save a file to your device.

3. Download a file or the whole carousel

Use Download beside a file or inside the viewer to save the selected file in its source format. For posts with two or more files, Download all files as ZIP includes both photos and videos in post order. Sorting the visible list does not change the order inside the ZIP.

Open Separate archives for photo-only or video-only ZIPs. Each option appears when the post contains at least three files of that type. Archives are limited to 128 MiB in total; individual downloads have a 128 MiB limit.

What “best available quality” means

Madboy chooses the source with the highest available resolution. It does not upscale media, transcode files or remove creator watermarks. If Threads provides a compressed source, Madboy cannot restore detail that is not in that file.
