Privacy Policy
Madboy is operated by Yaco, based in the Netherlands. This policy explains what we process when you use madboy.app, why we need it and how to contact us.
Last updated: October 18, 2026.
Who is responsible for your data?
Yaco, based in the Netherlands, is the operator of Madboy and is responsible for the personal information processed to run this service. To ask a privacy question or make a request, use our Feedback form and mention “Privacy” in your message. Include an email address where we can reply.
What we process and why
When you submit a public Threads link, we process that URL, the post’s available media information and the files you ask us to prepare. The URL may contain a Threads username and a post identifier. We retrieve public media to provide the preview and download you requested. We do not ask for your Threads login, password or access to private accounts.
Your browser sends normal connection information, such as your IP address, browser information and request time. We use session identifiers and temporary request counters to protect results, apply limits and prevent abuse. Technical errors may also be recorded to diagnose failures and keep the service available.
When you send feedback, we process the name, email address and message you enter, including any post link or device details you choose to provide. We use them to review your report and, when needed, reply to you. Please do not send passwords, payment details or sensitive personal information.
Cookies and browser storage
Madboy uses essential session and security cookies to associate results with your browser and protect form submissions. These are not advertising cookies. The session is configured to expire after two hours of inactivity. You can clear cookies in your browser, but doing so can make existing results and prepared files inaccessible.
We also use your browser’s session storage to pass a submitted link from the home page to the download page and remember the current result identifier. The pending link is removed after the download page reads it. Closing the tab normally clears this storage. Madboy uses Google Analytics by default unless you turn it off. Essential downloads and feedback do not depend on that choice.
Optional Google Analytics
Unless you choose Only essential, Google Analytics measures page visits and general browser and device information to help Yaco understand how Madboy is used. Google receives connection information, including your IP address when the request is made, and uses its own infrastructure to process analytics data. Our integration does not send the Threads link you paste, feedback fields, result identifiers or media files as analytics events. Page addresses sent by our integration exclude query strings.
Google Analytics starts when you visit the site unless a previous choice to disable it is saved in your browser. Advertising storage, advertising personalization and Google signals are disabled. Analytics cookies and your analytics preference are set for up to six months. You can change your choice using Cookies in the footer; choosing Only essential stops our analytics integration and clears its first-party analytics cookies. It does not automatically erase information already processed by Google.
You can disable analytics at any time through Cookies in the footer. Read Google’s Privacy Policy for information about Google’s processing, international transfers and privacy controls.
Temporary files and retention
Results and prepared downloads have a one-hour access lifetime. Stored records may be refreshed while a download job updates its status. Expiration prevents further access; it does not mean every copy is physically erased at that exact moment. The scheduled cleanup checks for expired media directories every ten minutes. Active work or a delayed cleanup can postpone physical removal.
Session records and expired cache entries are removed by server maintenance. Operational logs are kept to investigate faults and security incidents, rather than as a download history. Support correspondence is kept for as long as needed to handle the request, resolve follow-up questions or address a legal or security issue. It is reviewed when the matter is closed and is not covered by the one-hour media expiry. You can ask us to delete correspondence that is no longer needed.
A file saved to your device, a copy you share with another app or a third party’s original post is outside Madboy’s temporary storage. Clearing a Madboy result does not delete those copies.
Who receives information?
Our hosting and infrastructure services process the information needed to deliver Madboy. Our server connects to Threads and Meta’s media servers to retrieve public posts and files. Your browser connects directly to Meta’s media servers for photo previews and video cover images. Those connections disclose your IP address and normal browser request information to the relevant server. Original video playback is relayed through Madboy.
Feedback is sent to Yaco’s support chat using the Telegram Bot API. Telegram receives your submitted name, email and message. We do not deliberately attach your IP address, browser identifier or download history to that message. Telegram processes information under its Privacy Policy; bot messages are not end-to-end encrypted. If you prefer not to send information through Telegram, do not submit the feedback form.
If you use Save / Share, your device and the app you select handle the destination. We do not sell personal information. Information may be disclosed when necessary to meet a legal obligation or protect the service against abuse.
Our reasons for processing
Where data protection law requires a legal basis, we process the information necessary to provide the service you request, respond to your messages and meet legal obligations. Service security, proportionate abuse prevention and troubleshooting are based on our legitimate interests in operating a reliable service. Essential session and security storage supports the functionality you request; we do not use essential storage for marketing.
Infrastructure and third-party services may process information outside your country. The protections and rights available depend on the applicable law and the service involved. Public Threads content remains subject to the platform’s own privacy settings and policies.
Your choices and rights
You can stop using the service, clear your browser’s cookies and session storage, or decline to send feedback. Depending on your location and the applicable law, you may be able to request access, correction, deletion, a copy of your information, or restriction of or objection to certain processing. You may also complain to the relevant data protection authority.
Contact Yaco through Feedback to make a request. Describe the information involved and use the same email address if your request concerns an earlier message. We may ask for proportionate information to verify that the request is yours. Do not send identity documents unless we explain why they are necessary. We will explain any limits that prevent us from fulfilling a request.
Security and policy changes
Results and downloads are restricted to the browser session that created them. We use request limits, bounded file transfers and temporary storage to reduce risk. No service can guarantee absolute security; avoid submitting information you do not need to share.
We may update this policy as the service changes. The date above identifies the current version. Madboy is independent and is not affiliated with Threads, Instagram or Meta. Saving public media does not transfer copyright: download content you own or have permission to save.
